Asus 701 bios updating
That way of doing the bios has never worked for me either. The way that worked every time, quickly and easily, (except it's annoying! Here's the page with all the drivers and utilities for the 2G Surf - third program down under Utilities 'Asus Update Utility' - not the first one which is the rubbishy live update thingy that doesn't work.Or easier still, run Parted Magic from usb and select the first disc wipe option putting zeros on the whole disc, which will also get rid of any conflicting grub things (I've sometimes had to do this after installing Linux Mint which I never do any more, because it does something that prevents anything else installing afterwards, I find! I know wiping SSD's isn't good for them, but hey if it still works afterwards you can install bodhi.Parted Magic can also do a disk check and tell you if the SSD is ok.
A standard XP disc or windows 7 disc would do it too, then download the 'asus update' program (Not 'Live Update') from asus website on another computer, transfer to usb and install it from usb - run in xp service pack 3 mode in Windows 7. When you turn on again there are two options - can't remember what they are but it's obvious which one to select (ie press F something to start as normal).Direct Relief is a humanitarian nonprofit with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies.Recognized by Charity Navigator and Forbes for its efficiency, Direct Relief equips health professionals in the U. and throughout the world with essential medical resources to effectively treat and care for patients – without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay.I haven't got a lot of time available anymore due to many hours of work and experimenting or trying to solve the problem is a painfully slow process.I think it's the bios corrupted as everything i try to install just freezes my eee after a while.
